This is KANKETA BUSINESS PLAN 3 of 7: GROWING YOUR BUSINESS

Your business is SIMPLE MATH.

 

Here you see TWO images. 

 

 

IMAGE A: 

This is you, the business owner today. You are doing all of these jobs.

As a Small Business Superman, you are doing them single handedly. 

You are responding and re-acting to everything that happens in your business

every day within your allotted time of a 40 hour work week. 

(I know first hand. This was me in the first 20 years for my 60 year career)

 

 

PROBLEM 1:  

Every one of these responsibilities are EQUALLY necessary to be a success.

You can't eliminate or completely ignore any one of these positions or your 

House will cave in. 

 

 

PROBLEM 2:  

You only have a MAXIMUM of two hours every week to do each of these.

If you were completely organized 100% of the time (unrealistic), you would

spend exactly 120 minutes doing each job every week in order to SAFELY

and SUSTAINABLY grow 20% every year. Why 2 hours?

There are eight full time jobs here:

16 Hours for one full time person a week plus 4 hours of non-billable time

for meetings and Administrative work = 20 hours to MANAGE

Managing is Non-billable preparation: (Plan, Test, Measure, Adjust)  

In the other 20 hours you are actually DOING the work. DOING is billlable.

 

 

PROBLEM 3:  

In TWO HOURS every week, you alone must produce a specific result in each

of the eight positions in order to SAFELY grow your business 20% a year.

If you don't, chances are excellent that you won't be able to eventually sell your business

for more than firesale prices, if at all.

After all, who wants to invest lots of money to buy a business that is just you?

The other option is to Lease your business...  but the same problem exists.

Certainly, there are still more alternatives. You can always gift your business, close it and

walk away empty-handed, or keep working until someone else has to make the decisions

for you. It's all choice.

 

 

PROBLEM 4: 

If you ever plan to leave your business with enough cash while it runs itself,

you must hire someone to do the specific activities in each of these areas.

You will search for a long, long time to find even one person who can adequately

replace you. You must eventually find FOUR specialists - one skillset for each area 

(Work Room) who you can train to do the work and send you money in your absence.

 

PROBLEM 5: 

You must have the knowledge, skills, systems and experience to be able to

efficiently and affectively hire and train the right people in each of the eight

positions. 

 

PROBLEM 6: 

You MUST have a million dollars minimum in the bank by age 65. This money

must either come from your own business or from a high position with a big

company

(if they guarantee you a paycheck for 40 years)
